The Items and Inventory

UltraQuake items come in 4 flavors: Red Health Crosses, Yellow Energy Bolts, Blue Stun Resistors, and Feathers. The health crosses, as their name implies, boost the recipients health. Energy bolts have a similar effect on the player's energy while stun resisters increase the player's ability to generate energy when wounded. Feathers let players use the jump button to lift themselves higher and higher into the air. Big versions of the crosses and energy bolts and feathers are stored in the player's one item inventory, shown in the bottom left. Pressing 4 uses the inventory item. If a player already has an inventory item, the picked up item is used when picked up. Feathers and large energy bolts are discarded when a player dies, but Crosses are held on to. If used in death, they regenerate the spirit instantly.
